  Hello Jackos, 
That sounds like a very reasonable measurement to be doing and should run without that error, but we cannot diagnose it just from that description. I suggest to contact eesof_support@agilent.com and send the *.mdl file with your setup, as well as the *.hdw file (do File > Save off the Hardware window). The things to check would be the SMU Unit Names in the Setup Inputs and Outputs. Make sure what you refer to in the Setup matches your Unit Names for the 4155 in the Hardware window. e.g. Go to Hardware Window, select the 4155 and click on Configure to check the Unit Names.Also check the SMU types. If you do not see a problem by doing that, the best would be to send the problem to eesof_support@agilent.com  (with *.mdl and *.hdw) and then we will be happy to check into it further.

One more thing, you may wish to check, is to make sure you have the most current version of ICCAP 2013.01, which is hotfix #4. It is available at the download site for ICCAP. It may not make a difference for this particular issue, but in general, it can be good to run the most recent code with all hotfixes..
