Hi jstruebel,

The allowed maximum capacitance for N6744B is approximately 7mF. This test was done many years ago with electrolytic capacitor bank, where equivalent series resistance "ESR" was not low, our test showed power supply with plenty of phase margin. Be careful that the capacitance does not have too low ESR where there can be some stability impact on power supply.

Hello Jonathan,
How much capacitance do you need for your application? I would like to clarify that N6744b maximum allowed capacitance is 7 milli Farads. In terms of ESR that can impact the PS behavior, if ESR is not lower than  100mOhms you should not have a problem.
