I've searched the technical documentation and the forums for an indication of the max capacitive loading on the output of the 6744B power supply module and haven't been able to find anything. What is the maximum capacitance that the 6744B can handle on it's output and remain stable?

Hi jstruebel,
The allowed maximum capacitance for N6744B is approximately 7mF. This test was done many years ago with electrolytic capacitor bank, where equivalent series resistance "ESR" was not low, our test showed power supply with plenty of phase margin. Be careful that the capacitance does not have too low ESR where there can be some stability impact on power supply.

Thank you for the response Paul. Are there any of the other power supply modules that can handle greater capacitance? Also, about how low on the ESR will it impact the stability of the power supply?
