Is it possible to do an RMS Phase Jitter measurement with an integration range using a DSO81304B scope? From my understanding, I'd have to obtain a phase noise plot (dbc/Hz), integrate within the frequency range that my spec specifies and subsequently go back into the time domain. Is there a software package that would do this or is this type of measurement only possible with a spectrum analyzer?

  Yes, it's possible, but it's not part of the standard (or optional) toolkits on the scope. I know someone who wrote a MATLAB script that implemented this functionality. It took a long time to get it right, and producing results that correlated to the spectrum analyzer approach.

  Michael,

You don't need to go through the conversion to phase noise if all you want is the band-limited phase jitter. You can do this by simply turning on the TIE filter in bandpass mode. The RMS value of the TIE measurement is then the same as the phase jitter integrated over that range.
