  Files saved with the .trace extension are for use in the instrument only, there is no translator or convertor to be able to use them in anything else.

If you want to save trace data to use it elsewhere you need to Export it. You can do this by pressing *Save*, *Data (Export)*, select what you want to save, *Save As...* This will save the traces in a .csv format which can be used by many different PC programs.
