  FieldFox uses files in the XML calkit format (extension .xkt).  If the file is corrupt, it will not be loaded.  What version of the Calkit Editor was used to produce the file?  Can you attach your file to a post so I can examine it?

Try the SCPI query "SENS:CORR:COLL:CKIT:LAB:CAT?"

This will the labels of all of the calkits that have been successfully parsed and loaded.

Make sure your calkit has a unique label defined, otherwise it might be masked by another kit with the same label.

Another possibility - FieldFox's GUI only displays calkits with connectors defined which match the connector chosen in the GUI.  So when you 'choose connectors' in the GUI, you choose a connector type, and then the set of calkits that might be used (matching connectors in the kit) is presented.  (This presented list is filtered by the connector that you just chose.)

  Thanks a lot for the information. Here is the file. The Fieldfox does not have an SMA connector choice that may be the issue. Like I said the file is in the fieldfox it shows it on data link ¨show Files¨

  Mike,
Judging by past email exchanges with you,  I suspect that you are not uploading the file correctly.  

I suggest you go to 

http://www.home.agilent.com/agilent/editorial.jspx?ckey=2152552&id=2152552&nid=-11143.0.00&lc=eng&cc=US

and attempt to install one of the cal kit files that is not already in your VNA. There are some obscure calibration kits there Including 75 Ohm, Maury Microwave TNC and waveguide.  Try uploading one or two that is not already in the FieldFox firmware.  Any waveguide smaller than WR137 would not work ad to the operating frequency of smaller waveguides will not work at 6 GHz. But I am pretty sure that the FieldFox will not have a WR137 waveguide calibration kit in its firmware,  but you can download one from the Agilent web site and upload that to your FieldFox. 

If you are able to upload a couple of calibration kit files from the Agilent web site, but not the SMA files you want to upload, then I would suspect a problem with the SMA file. But if as I suspect that you are doing it wrong,  then it will not for any cal kit file. 

It is not rocket science uploading a calibration kit file to an Agilent FieldFox.  

The FieldFox does not have an SMA kit in its menu,  but that doesn't stop your calibration kit file defining an SMA. If you were particulary crazy you could define a cal kit with PL259 or even banana plugs!

My money is on making a mistake using the SMA file.
