What I would do if I had to do it:
- Try to leave as many signal unaltered as possible (meaning to assign the signal to the same logical port as before). This would require no or little adjustments (eventually some PPS assignment, but nothing beyond that).
- "Re-route" those signals not matching 1. to the appropriate new port.
Having done this (and provided there are no "new" hardware errors), the new board is expected to run smooth on the first attempt.
