True. If you read it over (the dox that is), you find HOME controls the
location of the io configuration file (if appropriate - conditions apply).
And that jibes with the "user data" idea. I thought maybe this was a bug
nobody had noticed. Note also though that there was a correction in 7.03 to
the way HOME was interpreted but it had to do with opening the Instrument
Manager.

  Maybe this is a bit simpler. 

If you are running in the development environment then the path to the
IDs directory is
C:Program FilesAgilentVEE Pro 7.5Ids
But the run time environment is
C:Program FilesAgilentVEE Pro RunTime 7.0ids

But this is the gotcha
The hp661xx.cid is in the development directory but NOT in the runtime
one.  If you look at the contents of both these directories the
development environment one has lots of *.cid files but the runtime one
has only 8!

I think they installation only puts a sample of the cid files in the
runtime directory as an example of where there should be.
